The Second Mouse The early bird gets the worm,
but the second mouse gets the cheese. Our discussion at the breakfast table today was: "Is it that 'the first shall be last and the
last shall be first', or just smarts?" Elisha said that when she was in Russia
helping at the orphanages, she really wanted a hot shower, so she planned to wake up early to get a hot shower first; otherwise from her past years of experiences, she may not get
one. So she got up early and hopped into the shower and it was freezing cold! F
rustrated, she waited. Then her freind Jonna woke up, hopped into the shower and got the nice warm water. So Elisha thought, "Hummm . . . it must be as what the Bible
says, 'The first shall be last and the last shall be first.'" B
ut Jonna explained, "Elisha, I just know that they don't turn on the hot water until now." Smarts . . . same as
